cozy

Chambray Shirt: H&M (still available).  Trouser jeans: The Loft.  Oxfords: Payless.  Belt: Mr.’s.  Scarf: c/o Keeping it Chic.

I pretty much love all things cozy.

This is probably why Seattle’s climate suits me just fine.

Cold rainy days facilitate lots of hot cocoa drinking, wool sock wearing, and fireplace snuggling.

And of course, lots and lots of scarves.

Growing up in sunny California, the concept of a scarf was pretty much lost on me.

This is back when I was a style minimalist, and living in constant warmth made scarves seem silly and superfluous.

And then I graduated from high school and moved away to college.

In Idaho.

And suddenly I understood scarves.

I only had one, and soft cream colored scarf my mom had thrust on me before I left for school, even as I was rolling my eyes at her.  “I don’t wear scarves, Mom.”

And then Rexburg turned into an iceburg and I stuck to that scarf like your tongue sticks to ice.

I had no idea how much warmer you could stay just by wrapping the equivalent of a sweater around your neck.

I know, go figure.

After Mr and I graduated and left the ‘Burg for the also frigid weather in Utah, I learned how much fun scarves can be.

“Oh, I can actually have style whilst bundled up in a parka!”

Then I went a little nuts when I realized how many fabulous colors and styles you could get a scarf in.  And the collection began.

I have been pining for a mustard infinity scarf ever since.

So when Chelsea from Keeping it Chic offered to send me one, I was pretty much stoked.

I tell you what, I love this scarf.

I mean we all know how much I die over the color mustard, but this scarf, oh my.

It’s like a snuggie for your neck.

And let’s face it, your neck deserves a snuggie.

So. Warm.

Chelsea’s work is flawless, the scarf is soft, and comfy, not itchy in the slightest (I hate itchy scarves), and she’s fast!

Plus I just found her cute blog and she’s got a rockin’ make-up tutorial that I am dying to try.

See, she’s so fab.

Do you want your own hand knitted scarf?

Oh good, cause Chelsea is offering 10% off your entire order to all La Vie Petite Readers.

Just enter laviepetite in the coupon code area.

Check out her fabulous shop here.

She’s got a ton of fabulous styles, and she’ll do a custom color if you want it.  Just make sure to let her know what color you want in the “message to seller.”  I’m kinda drooling over the Emily burnt orange cowl scarf…

Yummy.

Happy Shopping…

Love the photos with the leaves! :) We don’t get a traditional fall here so I like to look at photos that let me vicariously experience a “real” fall. :)
