I’m not usually one of those people who makes New Year’s Resolutions.

I try not to devise extra situations in which to feel guilty for not being everything I want to be.

But last year I made a few, and I actually followed through, so maybe there’s something to them.

January must be special.

I mean it’s my birthday month, so…

Mr. and I have been talking a lot over the last few days about what we want this year to be like.  What our goals are for the forthcoming annual and such.  Here are a few of mine:

1. Get in really good shape.  And lose some weight, like 10 pounds.  Plus whatever else might have hitchhiked onto my thighs during Christmas break.

2. Travel somewhere fabulous.

3. Read a lot of good books.  You know, the kind you can’t put down, but also make you think.

4.  Pray more; read my scriptures longer.

5. Be a more engaged mother.

6. Eat Healthy.

7. Give people a break, myself included.

8. Sleep like at least 6 hours a night.

 9. Do something big.

10. Wear more sparkles. (hey I didn’t say they were all deep.)

Happy New Year.

I’m 5’1″ and 95 lbs, and when I see your pics and other people in life, I always wish I was a few pounds heavier and more feminine looking like you are. Please don’t go crazy with weight loss, because you look really good!

  27. Just found a very similar sequined top at TJMaxx today. Hoping to find a similar tweed blazer and chunky layered pearl necklace, too. Looking forward to assembling this outfit. You are just so pretty, and I love your fashion sense. Happy New Year!
