It’s no secret that I’m a layers girl. And I have been wearing this scarf practically non-stop since I bought it last Saturday. My cost-per-wear is already down in the dollars. Yesterday, Mr. made some joke about how I refused to take that thing off, even while I was making dinner. But I can’t help it. It’s basically the most perfect scarf on the planet and it keeps my neck so, so warm. This dress is also worth a word or two because it’s ponte, another fabric I’ve been completely obsessed with this season (this may or may not be my third dress). It is such a soft, flattering dress and while you can’t see it, because it was bloody cold yesterday so I was layered up the wazoo, it has a really fabulous wide neck and a gray color-blocked yoke. If you’re short like me the length is going to fit you like a dream. (Yay, no hemming!) If you’re taller you might have to try it with leggings, which I think would be fabulous too.

Ponte is my new favorite fabric. I have several skirts and dresses in it. They are forgiving for a curvy figure and just so dang comfy. Never constricting.

I am on the hunt for the perfect booties and tall riding boots because every time I look at your blog you are wearing one of the two and I am so in love! I am thinking of biting the bullet and going for some Frye boots for tall cognac coloured riding boots, any thoughts?
I love frye for riding boots, unfortunately their shaft heights are too tall for my short legs but if you are taller than me I’m sure you’ll love them. And cognac, in my opinion is the perfect boot color.

I ordered my normal size and it fit just right. Not too loose or snug. I’ve found that old navy is pretty inconsistent on their sizing, sometimes my size is way snug on me and sometimes it’s too loose.
I saw this and realized I had most of the pieces already so I went and bought the scarf and tights. I love it so much. It might be the perfect outfit. (New to your blog – I love it!)
