I love the city just as much as the next girl, but the truth is, I feel most at home in wide-open spaces. When I get out into the calm of an open field, watch the sunset on grain, feel the wind tumble across crops and tease my hair, that is when my soul sings. Perhaps it’s the west-coast girl in me, but all I really want out of life (besides a happy family) is a farm with chickens and no less than two horses. And a big oak tree, with a swing.

That sounds heavenly! I so want to move back to my hometown which is small, woodsy, has a slower pace but I haven’t figured out how to make it work yet. Hopefully soon!!

I feel exactly the same way! I love shopping and dining, etc., but I feel completely at home in the country! I love being outside….even if I’m not doing anything but sitting and enjoying fresh air.

Okay the outfit? Seriously, I DIE! Secondly, I think you pretty much described the paradox that is my life. While I am a city girl and always have been, there is something about outdoors and fresh air and open spaces that just speaks to me and makes me want to move to the country and have a little farm. We currently live in a very small town outside of a big city and for now this is working perfectly for me, it gives me the outdoors feel (we are at the feet of the Canadian Rockies) but still close enough to reach everything I need ….. like french bakeries, Banana Republic and Nine West ;)

I didn’t. I bought it in the spring, this is their fall version. Basically the same shirt just a different hem. ;-)
