new site, new skirts.

It’s probably silly to state the obvious, because if you are reading this post then you have, in fact, found your way to the new website, but you may have noticed that the blog has moved!   Yay!  Wahoo!  Hip-hip-hooray!  I fought moving it over to this website for the longest time, mostly because I have a real soft spot for blogger, and also because WordPress intimidates the heck out of me.  But you know that whole thing about plates spinning in the air?  Yeah, well it turns out I’m not all that good at keeping them all going and having so many different websites and emails and accounts all doing different things at the same time and trying to keep track of all of it was just a little much.  Especially given my organization skills, or lack thereof.  It feels really good to get everything under one roof, and hopefully that means that if you’ve emailed me lately, you’ll get a response this century.  ;-)

Didn’t Mr. do a great job redesigning the website?  That man, and his code writing skills, I tell you what.  I’m convinced there isn’t anything that he couldn’t learn how to do.  I, on the other hand am still trying to figure out how to get all my images straight on here.  (and what is the deal with the featured image?!) Yikes.

We released 3 new skirts on Friday.  I’ve been so excited to show you guys the pencil skirts.  We spent a probably ridiculous amount of time making sure we got the fit just right, and they wear like a dream.  It’s probably not a secret, but I adore pencil skirts.  My sister came over the other day to hang out in my studio with me.  Whenever one of my sisters comes over we like to play dress up with all my new designs.  They try them on, tell me what they love, what they don’t so much love, how the fit feels, etc.  (It’s ridiculous how much fun you can still have playing dress up as a 30 year old.)  Anyways, we were talking about how pencil skirts are like the every-man of the clothing world.  You can wear them dressy with a blouse, or throw on a t-shirt and look put-together casual.  Pencil skirts are my favorite for everyday wear because they look fantastic with flats, and I love how a good sleek silhouette really lets a print pop.

I have to say, this last month has been one of the most challenging in my entire life, but I can see so much how the Lord had so many tender mercies set in place before we even lost our little Ruby.  This clothing line was one of them.  Having something so creative to throw myself into and work on has been incredibly therapeutic.  So here’s to the healing power of creativity.  Happy Tuesday to you all…

PS. You may want to go follow along on instagram (@dresscorilynn), we’ve got something super exciting coming later today…

Ok so I absolutely love the skirts! Side question-I’ve been eyeing that fabulous looking jjcole stroller for a while now but have a 4 and 5 year old. Now that I’m expecting I have a reason to buy it. Tell me dear, do you love it as much as I hope I would? Is the spinning feature as fun as it looks? Not to mention the seat that turns pram. I would love to hear what your thoughts are since you’ve obviously used it and I trust your opinion on something like that. Please and thank you!

I’ve recently found and subscribed to your blog, but since you changed addresses, it doesn’t show up on Bloglovin anymore. I guess you have to update them personally?!? I don’t know but I’d love to be able to follow still. Thanks!!
